We are coaches. We are trainers. We are physical education teachers. We are cycling instructors. And, a few of us are competitive athletes of every kind — all ages, colors, sizes, and sizes.

We are individuals. But we are also a team built on shared experiences of the power of HZT, Heart Zones Training. The cardio training system for health, fitness, sports performance, weight loss, emotional fitness, and so much more.

We have a goal. Our company goal is to help get America fit. And, we have a way of accomplishing that through HZT. That way is called "one persona at a time". We are in the business of getting America and the world fit the hard way - individually.

Sally Edwards

Sally Edwards is the "Head Heart" and the founder and CEO of Heart Zones. A former Master's World Record holder in the Ironman Triathlon, as well as a World Record Holder in the Iditashoe 100-Mile Snowshoe Race, Sally has spent the last 30+ years as a professional athlete. She has competed in some of the hardest races on the planet, including numerous multi-day adventure races and the Western States 100-Mile Run (which she won).

From the time she ran the 1984 Olympic Marathon Trials using her heart rate monitor, Sally has been at the forefront of a revolution in fitness training. Never one to trust in guesswork, Sally combined her Master's degree in exercise physiology with her experience as a professional athlete and created the Heart Zones Training System.

A founder of the sport of triathlon (and a Triathlon Hall of Fame inductee), most of Sally's recent races have been performed in her role as the National Spokeswoman for the Danskin Triathlon Series. Sally has finished every Danskin Triathlon (as of 2005, sixteen years worth) dead last, as the "Final Finisher," inspiring more than 100,000 other women to make it across the finish line in front of her. The year 2004 marked her 100th last-place Danskin finish in Denver, Colorado on July the 17th.

A prolific author of more than 20 books and 300 articles on fitness and sports, a motivational keynote speaker, and (with a second Master's degree in Business Administration) an entrepreneur, Sally is committed to helping others improve their health, fitness, and finish by listening to their hearts. Sally lives in Sacramento, California.

Annelise DiGiacomo

Annelise DiGiacomo, Heart Zones MT, Master Trainer and Heart Zones MMS, Master Metabolic Specialist.

For the past ten years, Annelise has been training, instructing, coaching and volunteering throughout the Pacific Northwest. As a Heart Zones MT, Master Trainer, Annelise specializes in cardiovascular fitness training, designing customized and efficient cardio training programs with the use of a heart rate monitor and the Heart Zones Training methodology developed by fitness training expert and triathlon legend Sally Edwards. She holds dual credentials as a Heart Zones MT Master Trainer with advanced training using power meters, metabolic VO2 carts, and heart rate monitor trainings and as a Heart Zones MS, Metabolic Specialist.

Annelise has an extensive coaching backgrounds with certifications in Heart Zones Triathlon Coaching serving as the head cycling coach for Team Survivor NW, for women who have survived cancer. She is the head coach of Heart Zones Coaching Seattle-Eastside.

She resides in Seattle, Washington with her husband and two cocker spaniels.

Cindy Miller is the National Coach for Heart Zones Coaching. She has been coaching and training athletes and fitness trainers of all level for the past 20 years. She is a Master Heart Zones Trainer HZMT, a certified Lifestyle-Weight Management expert, a Level 2 USA Triathlon coach. She holds a lifetime secondary teaching certification in Physical Education and Health Science. Additionally, Cindy owns her own fitness training studio, LifeStyles for Health located in Glendale, CA. Cindy co-developed the proprietary and branded Heart Zones Coaching methodology that is the heart of Heart Zones Coaching. Cindy leads a national team of HZ certified coaches providing them with coaching skills, management tools, and business opportunities. She develops custom programs to fit every level of fitness.

Gene Nacey holds 2 bachelor degrees and a masters degree in Public Health. A former entrepreneur of the year, Gene spent 20 years building a technology business before his passion for fitness lead him to become a fitness studio owner. Gene today has licensed the rights to be the official cycling program for Heart Zones as Cycling Fusion (www.cyclingfusion.com). Gene is a certified USA Cycling coach and one of America's premier fitness experts with a specialty in using heart rate and power data for improved cycling. He is the author of the book title Power Training, the developer of the new iPhone apps Ride Buddy and Ride Journal for indoor riders and instructors. Additionally, Gene is the video-producer of dozens of training and educational videos creating the largest content library of indoor cycling in the world. Gene's goal is to grow Cycling Fusion into the most popular and respected indoor and outdoor cycling certification, education, coaching, and training program in the world.

Chuck Cali

Chuck Cali has lived his life on the cutting edge. As the President of Zoning Fitness, the new health and fitness program that uses the 3 Steps of cardio, Chuck is an evangelist for indoor and outdoor cycling. With a business background that started in aerospace but lead him to landing on the bike to help others get and stay fit. Today, Chuck writes, speaks, teaches, and cajoles others to be active using the Zoning fitness program using the Blink heart rate monitor, to flash easy blue-moderate yellow-and hard red following the 5-20-5 method always changing it up. Chuck is the author of Zoning Cycle Workbook for Instructors and Facility Managers.
