Randy Olmstead

Heart Zones Schools’ Regional Manager, Mid-Atlantic

Randy has been front-and-center, highly visible in the public and private school K12 Physical Education market for over thirty years. He worked for two of the largest and most respected suppliers in the industry in various roles including Marketing and Catalog Director, various regional Sales responsibilities, to Vice President of Marketing. Along the way Randy developed a deep sense of advocacy for improving the health and fitness of future generations of students.

Many of Randy’s responsibilities over the years involved product development and introduction to the PE market, always with the goal of increasing movement and providing tools for more effective assessment. As heart zone training and heart rate monitors started to enter the PE market in the early 2000’s, Randy was alert to the many opportunities opening up for teachers and students alike. He was an early champion of heart zone training and using heart rate monitor systems for use in Physical Education. He is now is working directly with Heart Zones Move in 7 mid-Atlantic states.

Randy enjoys recreational walking and lake kayaking around his North Georgia home with Debbie, his wife of 26 years. They live within an hour of all three of their children and a grandchild. Golf is a social exercise activity for him, and his functional strength exercises include handyman and yard projects, with regular visits to a local fitness facility. Improving heart fitness through daily activity and personal assessment continues to be high on his list of healthy lifestyle choices.
