Sandy Moore is a veteran Physical Educator of 33 years. She is a recently retired educator in the Wentzville Missouri School District where she taught middle school and served as the district Physical Education and Health Coordinator. Sandy is the MOAHPERD Wellness and Recreation representative for the state organization and a president elect nomination for 2017. She also organizes the St. Louis Physical Educator Networking group. She is an active member of SHAPE.
While at Wentzville she was instrumental in the district PEP Grant award, where she served as the coordinator. With the grant she was able to attend several National workshops and conferences throughout the country. Sandy has presented at both the local and state level for professional development. She has served as the Intramural director, department chair, and wrote curriculum. She has coached softball, track, tennis and basketball with a Final Four State appearance.
She purchased Heart Zones for each of the 12 k – 8 buildings in Wentzville. She has utilized Heart Zones in her classroom, trained her staff, presented to PTO’s for funding and organized other activities for the purchase of additional Heart Zone system. Because of her love for kids and teaching she is now a member of the Heart Zones team.
