I love data on my workouts because:  It’s a true read of cardiovascular improvement and it helps gauge how hard I should be working during a training run.  Most of my training runs are in zone 2, but my speed work is zone 3/4.  If I didn’t use heart rate training, I wouldn’t know what pace to run at during my workouts.

Top Goal for 2018:  I strongly believe in goal setting because it encourages us to grow as athletes. There is strength, power in self-esteem and confidence in accomplishing the milestones we set for ourselves. As both a road runner and newbie ultra runner, I wanted to set my expectations high. This year I plan on completing my first 50 miler, and Boston qualifying at the Marine Corps Marathon.
I love data on my workouts because:  Having data of my workouts provide me with accountability & allows me to set my goals high – modifying if needed. It shows me where my ‘happy’ heart rate is at, and whether or not my stride is on point.
