How do I become a Contributor?

At the core of what we publish

Our best guest contributionsĀ are unique, data-driven, and interesting posts that teach our readersĀ something new about the world of health and fitness. We aim to provide content primarily on a few core topics: wearable technology, heart rate training, running, triathlon, cycling (indoor and outdoor), weight loss, HIIT, and physical education. While those are the primary categories at this time, we do accept other submissions that are more broadly related to health and fitness.

Here are a few things we look for in considering what to publish:Ā

  • Original concepts, compelling content, and high-quality writing. Articles must be unique and are not allowed to be published on any other website or platform.
  • We want your article to match the overall tone of the Heart Zones, Inc way. We aim to be data and technology driven, but also fun and motivational.
  • A contributors background and credibility. What makes you an expert on the topic that you chose?
  • No more than oneĀ link to your company’s website in the body of the post.

What We Won’t Accept

There are some things we simply can’t accept:

  • Articles that looks like an SEO link-building scheme.
  • Articles that are overly promotional for your company or organization.
  • Articles that contain offensive or inaccurate material.
  • Anything that’s overly critical of individuals or companies.

How to Submit Your Post

Please emailĀ alex.johnson [at] heartzones [dot] com with the following:

  • Your completed post as an HTML file or Word Doc.
  • Image files to accompany the article.
  • Short author bio (50-75 words) including a maximum of two anchor text links to your own website.

If our Heart Zones, Inc content team feels your article meets our standards and aligns with our content strategy, we will respond to let you know when and where your article will be published.Ā This process usually takes between 3-10 days depending on the volume of requests.
